Warehouse Stocker

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Stocker is responsible for receiving supplier shipments, separating and slotting merchandise, and fulfilling store orders efficiently and accurately. This role ensures that merchandise is distributed to stores in a timely manner and maintains the highest level of accuracy in inventory management.

Responsibilities:

• Set delivery appointments for shipments within requested time frames
• Receive and unload shipments in a timely manner, avoiding detention or lumper charges
• Obtain prior approval for any additional charges
• Verify shipments for accuracy against the Fiesta Purchase Order
• Ensure each carton is received in good condition and report any concealed damage
• Mark freight bills as received and report discrepancies, obtaining driver signatures
• Separate shipments by product and store them in pre-determined warehouse areas
• Handle merchandise carefully, treating it as cash
• Maintain warehouse side of purchase orders and distribution reporting systems
• Notify buyer of incoming shipments and adjust inventory accordingly
• Select and fulfill orders per schedule, record store shipments
• Separate and prepare pallets for shipment, identifying each pallet by store
• Prepare Bill of Lading for each store shipment
• Load delivery trucks in the correct store delivery sequence
• Obtain driver signatures for all goods shipped
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and move trash/waste to dumpsters
• Follow all corporate safety guidelines and report hazards that need correction
• Take periodic inventory counts and record results
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as necessary
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous warehouse or stock experience is preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jack trucks
• Attention to detail with the ability to verify shipments and handle discrepancies
• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight schedules
• Strong communication skills to interact with suppliers, drivers, and team members
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with a focus on safety
• Basic understanding of inventory management and reporting systems.Opportunities for Advancement
