Stocking Associate

Job Summary:

Office Depot and OfficeMax are seeking a Stocking Associate to lead the operations of one of our retail locations. This leadership role is responsible for driving total store performance, including sales, services, and operational excellence, while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader with strong business acumen and a passion for team development and community engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Drive total store sales and services through effective leadership and execution of store strategies
• Own store performance, including revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction metrics
• Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and operational excellence
• Coach, train, and develop associates to enhance skills, performance, and career growth
• Manage store hiring, onboarding, and succession planning to build a strong team
• Resolve customer and associate concerns professionally and in alignment with company values
• Lead local outreach efforts, hosting in-store events to build relationships with small and medium businesses
• Maintain visual merchandising and ensure operational standards are upheld
• Act as a Change Champion by supporting and implementing organizational initiatives

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field)
• 2–4 years of management experience or completion of an internal leadership development program
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a retail or professional environment
• Strong business acumen and understanding of store financials and performance drivers
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt to change
• Competence with computers, point-of-sale systems, and business applications
