Restaurant Checker

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Restaurant Checker to join our Store 004 Houston Spencer team. As a Restaurant Checker, you will be the key contact for our guests, providing enthusiastic and friendly customer service. You will be responsible for generating sales, operating cash registers (POS), housekeeping, and ensuring accurate cash handling. This role is essential in providing an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful customer service to each guest
• Operate cash registers (POS) and handle cash accurately
• Assist customers with their purchases and generate sales
• Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant and store areas
• Work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed (Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to read and write in both Spanish and English
• Interact effectively with the general public and co-workers
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, product labels, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Apply common sense to carry out instructions and work efficiently
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required
• Bonus Skills (preferred but not required):
• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

Salary:

Starting rate: $13.00 per hour
